Big Girl!!

Katelyn had her 2 year check up yesterday & was very excited about going to the Dr. & did fine in the waiting room. As soon as we went back & they weighed her it all went downhill. She didn't want anyone looking at her or touching her & was screaming & crying, I didn't expect her to be that bad! She got a good report from the Dr. & is a healthy little girl. Luckily she didn't have to have any shots but she did have a finger prick done (which was so sad) as soon as they gave her a sticker & drew a smiley face on her band-aid she was fine. She is definitely a mommy's girl & she was like a little leach hanging on to me. I think her daddy may have to take her for her next visit! They did manage to weigh her & she weighs 33lbs. & is 37 1/2" tall. She is off the charts for both height & weight. This is the first time she has been off the charts, she has always been in the 95th percentile. We have a very tall little girl on our hands. I can't wait to see if her brother or sister will end up being as big as her.

Zoo trip

 

Last Thursday was one of the first warm days we were able to get out & do something so I decided we were going to the zoo. Katelyn has only been to the zoo one other time & that was almost a year ago. Mimi & Papa joined us & we had a great lunch at Niki's before we headed to the zoo. It was a perfect day for a zoo trip but it seemed to be the wrong time of year to go they are doing construction right now & you had to walk completely out of the way just to see the giraffes & lions. I'm so glad we got to spend the day with Mimi & Papa & hope we can do it again real soon.

Birthday Suprise!

 

Here is a post to go along with the new ticker on our blog. We decided to wait until Katelyn's birthday so she could tell our family the big news. I wrapped up a big sister shirt & had her open it last. I know Katelyn looks so excited in the picture but she was ready to get back on that 4 wheeler. Everyone was shocked they had no idea we were expecting again. We have known for about a month now & it's been hard keeping it a secret. I had my first Dr. visit last week & I am due August 12. We are so excited & can't wait to see Katelyn as a big sister. I will keep everyone posted on my progress & just pray we have a healthy baby boy or girl!

Katelyn's 2nd Birthday

 

 

 

We celebrated Katelyn's 2nd birthday today which is her actual birthday. Her grandparents & aunts helped us celebrate at our house. Katelyn is really into Minnie & Mickey now so I decided to do a Minnie theme. I found the perfect Minnie cake & she LOVED it. I brought it home last night & showed it to her & she said "Minnie cake" followed by "cut it mommy". I knew then she was happy with her birthday cake. We had a wonderful day & can't believe our little girl is two! She is so much fun & amazes us everyday how smart she is. Katelyn we love you very much & wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!

When it was time to sing Happy Birthday Katelyn put her head on the table & started crying. It was funny & sad at the same time, I think she got really embarrased & is not use to all of the attention. She came around when it was time to blow out the candles & blew both of them out. She loved eating the cake & had been waiting forever in her mind to eat it. Katelyn got a lot of spring clothes & toys & Gramps got her a little 4 wheeler, she's not scared of it like the jeep she rode it all over the house.

We made it outside to play in the snow as it was falling. Of course it didn't last long & never stuck to the ground but Katelyn enjoyed getting bundled up & walking around in it. I wish there would have been a little more to play with or build a snowman, maybe we will get a little more before winter is over.
