Yesterday I went with my friend Kristy who has been helping me with my photography. We took pictures of her little boy Austin downtown on Morris Avenue. She uses this location for many of her sessions & I was so happy when she offered to take me there & show me where she takes pictures. Austin is the cutest & sweetest little boy & was such a great person to practice with. Thank you both for spending time with me yesterday, & letting me post these pictures, I appreciate it so much & I can't wait to go back & take more pictures!

3 month pictures

We went to Portrait Innovations Friday & got some good pictures! Katelyn did so good & smiled for several pictures. I wish I could set up a studio in my house, I think I could have gotten some better ones, but I am happy with the ones we did get.

3 Months

I took these after Katelyn's bath, she is always in such a good mood after baths! I can't believe she is already 3 months! ( I know I say that every month) She has so much personality & is such a sweet baby! She is doing a lot better with tummy time & can really hold her head up, as you can see. I wonder what she will be doing next week.

I'm in Love!

I got my new camera in today, it is a Nikon D80 & I love it so much! I have been playing with it all night & the first picture is my new favorite. I can't wait to take more pictures & I got a few snap shots of Katelyn trying to eat some cereal. She has been doing so good in daycare this week but her teacher said she is still acting hungry after a bottle & said to try some cereal & she did very good. She is such a little piglet & is going to be so big the way she keeps eating. Brad & I weighed her today & she is around 14 lb. & is 23" long. I can't believe she is already 3 months & has doubled in her size. My little girl is growing so fast!!!

First Day

Well, yesteday was my first day back at work & I hate to say it but it is like I never left! Not much had changed & it didn't take long to get back in the swing of things, but all I could do was think about Katelyn all day & I got teary eyed a few times.

Our day started off at 5:00 a.m & once everyone was dressed & ready we headed to the daycare. We got there a little early to get Katelyn settled & put all of her things away. She was asleep the whole time I was talking to her teacher & even when I left. That was hard for me because I was scared she was going to wake up & freak out wondering where she was. I cried a few times, especially when I gave her a goodbye kiss, that was when I lost it & had to leave. I didn't want to leave her there with complete strangers, after all she has been with me from day one. I cried a little more in the parking lot & on the way to work, but once I got there I was ok & my mind was on other things. I called & got a the first report & she was fine, she didn't freak out, but she looked around wondering where she was. She had already eaten, played, & napped. I go another report later & again she was doing great. I left work to pick her up around 3:00 & was suprised I didn't get a ticket on the way. I felt like a Nascar driver, at the speeds I was going & weaving in & out of traffic. When I got there I saw her sitting in her little bouncy seat just as happy as can be with all of the other babies, I was very relieved, I didn't want to see her crying when I walked in! I think the first day of daycare was a success & extremely emotional for me & I know it will get better over the next few days & weeks.

Last night Katelyn was making all kinds of sounds, I guess she picked up on them from all of the other kids, she was very "talkative". I think she was trying to tell me about her first day. I didn't get any pictures of her first day, but I will try & take some today. Thanks to everyone who was thinking about me yesterday, I needed a little support to get me through it!

A Day for Showers

Yesterday Katelyn & I went to two showers, first we started out at Brandi's baby shower, but I left my camera in the car & didn't get any pictures. Brandi got some great gifts for baby Micah & I can't wait to see him!

After that we went to Erin's wedding shower. I am so glad Erin, Dana & I got our picture together. We have been friends since elementary school & haven't had a picture together since high school. For those of you who don't know, I have known Dana since the third grade & Erin since the fifth. Erin lived across the street from me & we all three grew up together. I enjoyed getting to reminisce a little yesterday, it has been a while since we have gotten together.

I found these hats in Katelyn's room & decided to try them on her, I knew they would be big but I had to see them on her. They were so cute & I just had to take pictures! I can't wait until she can really wear them, but I'm afraid it won't be until next summer.
