Being Silly

 

Today Katie & I were laying in the floor & she turned her giggle box on. She was so funny just laughing & being so sweet, I'm glad I was able to get a few pictures, I usually can't get many of her smiling.

Everytime Katelyn gets out of the bath her hair is so curly, I love it! I wish it was this curly all of the time usually when it dries it still curly but not like this.

These are Katelyn's 1st birthday pictures. My friend Kristy was nice enough to drive all the way out here in the sticks to take them for me. I LOVE the way they turned out, Kristy did you did such a great job & thank you sooooo much! I did some editing on these pictures, so if they look bad, I take full credit! Now I have choose which ones to hang on the wall & I don't know how I am going to pick my favorite.

I had my first sewing class today, I didn't take it in high school so I am an absolute beginner. These are the fabrics I picked out for the two outfits I will be making. The first one is for a bubble outfit that will be reversible & the second is for an A line dress. I can't wait to see the finished product, I just hope it is something that I will let her wear in public. Who knows maybe I can keep making her outfits instead of paying an arm & a leg for them. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

Katie & her cousins

 

We went to my grandmother's house this past Sunday for dinner & Katie got to play with her cousins. Well these are my cousins little girls so I guess these are her second cousins or something like that. In the picture is Katie (1), Lexi (2) & Haley (3).

Sadie has been inside the last few nights & Katelyn has enjoyed waking up & seeing her every morning. I have to block the living room off so Sadie won't lay on the rugs & so Katelyn will stay away from her. I still don't trust Sadie around her because she is so big & she is getting old & doesn't want to be bothered sometimes. I can tell Sadie likes Katelyn because she always wants to give her five, but I never let her get that close. She is also still pretty jealous of Katelyn because she barks at us if we give her too much attention. I hope she is around for a long time because she has been the best dog & I want Katie to enjoy her too.

1 year check up

 

Katie had her check up Monday & everything was great! She weighs 23 lbs. 4 oz. & is 30 1/4" long. She also had to have 4 shots & has 1 more in a month then she will be done until she is 4!! We are so lucky to have such a healthy little girl & I hope it stays that way.
