All Smiles

Katelyn just started to smile yesterday & I finally got some pictures of her. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen!! I didn't know you had to act so silly to get them to do it though, I'm glad it was just me & her.

Bath Time

Katelyn loves to have her hair washed, but doesn't like a bath too much that's why there are no bath tub pictures. She did good the other night & didn't cry but tonight she wasn't in the mood. Maybe next time I can get some good pictures.

We went to Tammy's the other night to eat dinner & Katelyn got to hang out with Madelyn, Brody & Hanna. That's Brody squeezing into her car seat.

Poor Katelyn, I drug her & her Mimi all across town today, they both went with me to a couple of appointments & then to the grocery store. I know I wore them both out because I was tired too. Everytime we turned around today Katelyn's hat was over her eyes, poor thing, I guess it was a good thing she was asleep most of the time so it didn't make her too mad.

Mommy's 1st Night Out

Last night I had my first night out away from Katelyn. I went to Sips N' Strokes with Lockie & Amanda (Brad's mother & sister). We had a great time & I think all of our paintings turned out really good. I would recommend it to anyone who has never been, it is so much fun & I can't wait to go back. I really enjoyed being out of the house for a little while but as soon as we were done I was ready to get home & see my little girl.

My Valentine

We didn't do anything for Valentine's Day this year, but I like to think my present just came a little early.
The day before, we went to visit my Grandmother for her birthday & Katelyn wore her Valentine's outfit for our visit. I wanted to take Katelyn by there to see her since I didn't get to take her to her party last Saturday. It was so special to me to see my grandmother hold my daughter & I know our visit made her birthday a little better!

Happy Birthday Granny!

Tomorrow is my grandmothers 80th birthday & I went to her birthday party last Saturday. My Granny is such an amazing person & has always been a big part of my life. I look forward to many more years with her & hope she has a wonderful birthday! You can also see my sister & I didn't get our height from her=)

This was also my first time away from Katelyn since she was born & Brad's first time to keep her alone. We didn't want to take her somewhere not knowing if anyone would be sick & the pediatrician advised us not to. I wish all of these colds would go away, it seems everyone has been sick & I hope Brad & I don't catch one!

1 Month Checkup

I can't believe Katelyn is already a month old. I knew everyone said time flies but I didn't know it would go this fast. Look at the difference a month makes she has changed so much & has grown so fast.

We had a little photo session while I was getting her ready to go to the doctor, & these were a few of my favorites!

Katelyn had her 1 month checkup today & she now weighs 8lbs 13 oz. & is 21" long. I knew she had grown but I didn't realize how much. She now weighs 1 oz. more than I did when I was born & I can't imagine giving birth to a baby that size, I am glad she was as small as she was. She also had to have a shot today & they pricked her heel. The heel prick wasn't too bad but the shot, OH MY GOSH! I have never heard her scream that loud, not even when she was born. The nurse had told me before she gave her the shot that the mother's usually take it worse than the baby, I just knew I wasn't one of those mothers, but then I heard her scream. It broke my heart!!! I cried longer than she did. I don't know how I am going to make it through the 2 month check up when she has to have 4 shots!?! Overall she had a good visit & the Dr. said she looked great. I thank God everyday for giving me a healthy baby, lets hope she stays that way!

My Little Baby Doll

Katelyn got all dressed up to got the baby tea for Lynn & John Thomas. She looked like a little baby doll & was sooooo cute! I need to get more dresses like these to dress her up in because I had so much fun doing it. I love having a little girl!
