Grandma's Birthday
Last Saturday Katelyn & I went with Mimi & Papa to visit Grandma for her 89th birthday! We sang happy birthday & ate birthday cake & Katelyn blew out the candles for Grandma. I think Grandma enjoyed our visit & I hope we made her birthday that much more special.

Last day of Mother's Day Out
I can't believe Katelyn has changed so much since her first day, it seems like this school year started so long ago. I'm glad I remembered to take pictures of the first & last day so I could look back at them. The first picture was from August & the second picture was from last week (like those accessories!) Her last day was really yesterday but they had a field trip to the zoo so we didn't take any pictures yesterday, I have enough pictures from all of our zoo trips this year! Katelyn did really well in MDO even though she cried just about everyday I dropped her off her teachers assured me she that she was fine 2 min. after I left everyday. She made so many friends this year & I really look forward to her starting back in the fall. She will not be going this summer because we plan on spending a lot of time at the waterpark & that's just one more day of something to do. With her baby brother on the way I will need a few days of nothing to do!!

What a relief!!
I went last Thursday for my glucose test & didn't get good news back that day, after visiting the Dr. & finding out my blood pressure was high I got a phone call from the lab telling me my glucose levels were elevated. I had to start a diet through the weekend & go back for further testing yesterday. After being treated like a pin cushion & being stuck every hour for three hours the test was over. I finally got a call back late yesterday & my results were normal! I'm so glad I don't have to deal with the gestational diabetes with this pregnancy, I didn't have it while I was pregnant with Katelyn so I just assumed I was out of the woods with this one too. I'm also going to keep a check on my blood pressure, I have been going & doing like I'm not even pregnant & it's finally catching up with me. I have got to slow down a little & take better care of me & this baby boy, but as most of you know with more than one child it's very hard especially when they are going through terrible two's!
We go back to the Dr. in a few weeks & will also have a 4D ultrasound done, I am so excited to see this little boy's face & it sure would be nice to have a name for him by then too! I will post pictures as soon as we get those!

6 1/2 months
I know I have been terrible about taking pictures during this pregnancy so we took the opportunity this weekend to do that. I don't have to get dressed up or put make up on very much so I never think about taking a picture. Brad & I had a date this past weekend & before we walked out of the house I made sure we all had a picture made. We went to dinner at Chuck's in Tuscaloosa (it was delicious!) & followed it up with dessert at Yogurt Mountain. We had some much needed alone time & I had been looking forward to it all week. Katelyn stayed at Mimi & Papa's & as always had so much fun.
Back to the pregnancy...I have felt pretty good the last few weeks but still stay very tired. I know keeping up with a 2 year old has a lot to do with that, I just hope I can make it through the heat of the next few months. "Baby brother" as we call him because he still has no name has become very active & I love to watch him move around all the time. I go to the Dr. this week for my glucose test & hopefully all will go well with that visit. I promise I will try to get better at taking pictures of my belly!
Picnic with Mommy
Katelyn asked me to have a picnic with her last week & that's what we did! We put some quilts in the front yard & had a sandwich, juice, & watermelon! Sadie even joined in on the fun & ate Katelyn's left overs. After lunch we got a little sun & enjoyed the beautiful weather. I'm so thankful I get to spend this time with my little girl & this is something we are going to do at least once a week.
A trip to McWane Center
Last week my friend Kelly asked us to go with her & her son Logan to McWane Center. We had a great time & the kids loved it! I wasn't crazy about the crowds but we made the best of it. Katelyn & Logan are 2 days apart & you wouldn't know it looking at the pictures of them, my child towers over him & of course everyone else her age. They played pretty good together except for the fact Katelyn is going through this phase of not wanting to share so I had to stay on her about that. We enjoy doing things with our friends & thank you Kelly & Logan for inviting us to spend the day with you!
