Visiting Grandma Spencer

We took Katelyn to visit Brad's grandmother today, she was so excited to finally meet her great granddaughter. She kept saying she had the prettiest hands. She made the blanket that is under Katelyn & we had to get a picture of her holding Katelyn. It was so great to visit with her today, she tells the funniest stories & I love to listen to her tell us the way it was back when she was raising her kids. She told us today that she had to wash the cloth diapers in the creek by their house. I am very thankful to have disposable diapers!!

A Visit With MiMi & Papa

Katelyn had a visit with Mimi & Papa yesterday. She slept most of the time but woke up long enough for them to see her pretty eyes. She loves her Mimi & Papa very much & can't wait to see them again, but Papa is going to have to get use to holding her when she gets fussy!

2 Weeks Old

I can't believe I have a 2 week old! She is not even suppose to be here yet, my due date isn't until Monday the 28th, but I am so glad she decided to come early! We got her hospital pictures in & I decided just to post a picture because I can't figure out how to access it on the hospital website. Katelyn has changed so much in the last two weeks she has really started to fill out. The bottom pictures were taken today before we left to got the Dr. as you can see she got pretty mad after a few. At her appointment today the Dr. said she looked great. She now weighs 7 lbs. 13 oz. & is still 20". I am not looking forward to her next appointment because she will have to start getting her shots. I can't stand to see her in any kind of pain!

Take my Daughter to Work Day

I took Katelyn to my office yesterday to visit all of my co-workers. These people have listened to me complain & watched me grow for the last 9 months & they are like my 2nd family. Most of them came to visit me in the hospital but I was very excited to show them how much Katelyn had changed in the last two weeks, plus I really needed to get out of this house for a little while. I enjoyed getting to see everyone, & it was kind of strange going there & not having to work. I am not looking forward to going back & being away from my little girl anytime soon, so I hope the next 10 weeks slow down a little bit.

Madelyn & Katelyn

Madelyn also got to come & visit Katelyn this week. She was sick when Katelyn first got here so she had to wait a little while & I know it was killing her. She held her as soon as she got here then she wanted to dress her Baby doll in some of Katelyn's clothes so I gave her some that she couldn't wear. Madelyn is going to make a great big sister one day & her mommy needs to have her a little brother or sister soon!!
