Update

Well yesterday was a crazy day to say the least. It started off pretty good, I had my regular doctor's visit & it was very routine & no where near as exciting as the last. I got to hear the heartbeat again which was 144 & they weighed me I have finally gained some weight about 6 lbs. & hopefully I can keep that slow & steady. But the worst part of the day was on the way home when I got in to a fender bender with two vehicles. A lady hit me from behind because someone hit her. It really scared me because I immediately started worring about the baby. I was sitting still when I got hit with my foot on the brake & she hit me hard enough to move my car forward. Luckily no one was hurt! I called my doctor shortly after the wreck because I started to feel a little tightness in my stomach & my back was sore. I asked what I needed to do, they said to come in so they could check me & make sure I wasn't having any contractions. I think I was just tense from all of the excitement, I had a feeling nothing was wrong but I know I wouldn't have slept that night not knowing for sure. Brad & I got to the hospital & they monitored Katelyn & I for about an hour. Thank God nothing was wrong with either one of us & today everything is back to normal, except my car.

Preggers!!

Last night we went to Southland Electric's 30th Anniversary party. Brad's boss was honored & it was nice talking to all of his coworkers. You can tell it is a great company to work for, they are like one big family & I am glad Brad has been a part of it for the last 12 years.
I finally got a picture of Lynn & I, this is the first picture I have of us since we found out we are going to be mommies. I am so glad we are pregnant together, it's nice to have someone going through the same thing you are that you can talk to. I can't wait to find out what she is having so I will know if Katelyn will have another boyfriend or a little girl to take dance with.

Katelyn's Bedding

We finally decided on a name for the baby, Katelyn Ann, & we will call her Katie for short. We finally decided while we were on vacation this weekend that there weren't any other names we really liked for our daughter. I have said for a long time that if we had a girl I liked the name Katelyn & I think Brad had no choice but to like it.

Here is the bedding for the nursery, I can't wait until it all comes together. Brad is getting started on all of the trim this weekend & hopefully next weekend we will paint. The crib & other furniture was ordered today & should be here in a few weeks which will give us some time to finish the room. We have taken everything out of the room that will be the nursery including the carpet & are starting from scratch, so I still have a lot to pick out. As soon as some progress is made I will post pictures.

Back from the Beach

We had the best time on our beach trip & really didn't want to leave. The weather couldn't have been any better & we had some really good food too. The water was crystal clear & I even got a few pictures of some sting rays. I think we watched a group of 4 or 5 swim by every few minutes for at least an hour. I have never seen that many in the ocean before & I don't think I went back in once I saw them. The sunsets were breathtaking & I think it was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip. I am glad we got to get one last trip together before we become parents. I know our beach trips will never be the same, but I am really looking forward to having our daughter there next year!!

1/2 Way There!

Well I have made it to the half way mark & I can honestly say it has flown by, even though it didn't feel that way for the first 3 months. She has really been moving & kicking alot more & they seem to have gotten stronger in the last few days. We have a couple of names picked out but haven't completely decided yet. We have started on the nursery & I received the bedding this week. We are headed to the beach for one last trip for two (at least for a while) & I will post pictures of the bedding as soon as we get back.

Entertainment for the night...

We had some friends over Sunday night for dinner & I got to play with Madelyn & Brody. I had a great time coloring with Madelyn & watching the puppet show her & Brody tried to put on. They also had a good time playing with Sadie & swinging in the hammock. They were definately the entertainment for the night.

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Today is my sister Rebecca's 17th Birthday. We went to dinner last night with my family & I took this picture of her and her boyfriend Gil. I can't believe how much she has grown up I remember this day 17 years ago & how excited I was to have a little sister. Now she is a senior in high school. I am so proud of her, she is such a wonderful sister & friend.
