4 weeks old
I honestly can't believe that our baby is already 4 weeks old, it has flown by! He is a great baby other than the few days he was fussy & we had to make a formula change. He usually goes 3-4 hours between feedings during the day & at night he has gone 4-6 hours. We are still running on little sleep & Brad has been working 7 days a week for a while now, so I know he is exhausted. Will has been making his sweet sounds trying his best to "talk" to us & has even been trying to smile, I'm still waiting on a real one though. Katelyn is still crazy about her little brother & loves him so much she kisses him all day & tells him how much she loves him.
First Bath
Last night Will had his first real bath, his cord finally fell off & I was so glad to give him a bath. He did much better than I expected because our experience with Katelyn's first bath was pretty bad, she screamed the entire time. He cried for a couple of minutes when I first put him in the water & then I think he enjoyed it a little. I love the way babies smell after they have their baths!!

First trip to the Movies
Getting a little out of order, Katelyn went to the movies for the first time last Tuesday. Gramps, Gigi, & Jennifer took her to see Toy Story 3, they said she did great & loved the movie! I asked my dad to take a picture of her in front of the poster & he told me this is the only one he got. You can tell in the picture she looks like she was ready to go, well she was in a hurry to go use the potty, he said explaining the look on her face. Oh well at least I got a picture! I hated that I couldn't go with her to her first movie, we had planned on taking her before Will got here but never could get around to it. Hopefully we can take her back soon to see something else.
First day of Mother's Day out
Katelyn started back to MDO last week after taking the summer off. She was so excited & the days leading up to her going back she kept telling me she needed to go to school & take her backpack. I was a little nervous about dropping her of & how she would do because last year she would cry almost everytime I dropped her off. She suprised me this time & walked right into her class with no tears!! She was excited to see me when I picked her up & I rewarded her with a trip to Dairy Queen for ice cream after her first day. I hope she continues to do well when I drop her off, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Sorry for the bad pictures you can tell she had not been up very long & of course she takes pictures like her daddy!
Will meeting more of his family
Last week, Will got to meet my grandparents & Brad's grandmother for the first time. It is so special to have these pictures of them holding Will & I'm so thankful they are all still around to see their great-grandson. We still have to take a trip to Tuscaloosa to visit Grandma, Brad's other grandmother & hopefully we will get to do that soon. Will also got to meet his Aunt Rebecca I hate they all had to wait so long to finally meet & hold him for the first time.

My babies!!
I cannot put into words how much I love these two little ones, they are my world! I love being their mommy & I'm so glad God sent me these two beautiful children.
I was able to get a couple of picutres of both of them the other night but I definitely had my work cut out for me, I don't remember ever having a newborn session being this hard! First of all Will already does not like the camera & I had made two other attempts to get his picture made before these. Katelyn doesn't know yet how to support his head properly & her little arm just can't hold him up yet so I was having to hurry & snap the picture before he was laying in her lap. I really over did it the night I took these, I was sweating & doing all of it by myself I really should have waited for Brad to get home to help me, I have to keep reminding myself that I just had a baby 2 weeks ago & my body still needs time to recover. So, I guess I will have to try again a little later but I am happy with the way these turned out.

Holding Will for the first time
Mimi & Papa brought Katelyn home Thursday not long after we got home. She was SO excited to see her little brother, she hadn't seen him since Monday right after he was born & that was only for a short time. She wouldn't hold him at the hospital, but couldn't wait to hold him at home. She wanted him to sit right next to her on the couch & she talked to him & loved on him non-stop.
