In the Home Stretch!

Well I have finally made it to the last month & I am counting down the days & we can't wait for our little girl to get here. The last few weeks have flown by with all of the holiday functions but I am sure that next few weeks will go by extremely slow. I have been feeling great & I am sure it has a lot to do with being off work so much the last two weeks & getting plenty of rest. I have a Dr. appointment next week so hopefully I will find out a little more information than I have the last few visits, & know if Katelyn is getting ready to make her entrance into this world.

Merry Christmas!!

This past Saturday we had Christmas with my dad's side of the family & this is a picture of me with my sister Rebecca & my dad Joe (who will soon be known as "Gramps"). These are the only pictures we took over the Christmas holidays. Also there is a picture of my Granny & Paw Paw who was showing off his new houndstooth hat that my dad bought him. I personally don't like it but he looked so cute wearing it backwards. We have a very large family and there are usually around 50-60 people there every year, & did I mention my grandmother buys everyone a present. Talk about a Christmas list! We had a great time & everyone is looking forward to meeting Katelyn who will be Great-grandchild # 30!

This was last Saturday at Rowdy & Cristal's for our annual Christmas Party. I am so glad we all get together and do this every year we have so much fun playing Dirty Santa & eating all of the great food everyone brings. I can't wait until next year!

These pictures were taken today at Brad's parents house for our 1st Christmas Party of the year. As you can see I have gotten a lot bigger since the last time I posted. I feel really good though, other than the constant heartburn & the extra weight I am carrying around on my stomach. Katelyn has become extremely active over the last week. I think she does flips all day long & she likes to strecth out alot, shoving a foot into my ribs a few times a day. We are starting to get very anxious for Katelyn to get here, only a few more weeks!!

30 down 10 to Go!!

I can't believe I am already 30 weeks, this pregnancy has really flown by. I had my Glucose test last Wednesday & they said as long as I didn't hear anything back from them by Friday & the latest Monday everything should be fine, so I still have my fingers crossed just in case. I feel really good & we are starting to get very anxious for the arrival of our baby girl.

Tea Pictures

Check out the diaper cake, isn't it cute!!! Mandy made if for me & I definately think she needs to start making & selling them so I am advertising her product for her. If you know someone who is having a baby, this would be a cute gift or table centerpiece!

I had such a nice tea on Sunday & Katelyn got a lot of great things! I am so thankful to have so many friends & family that care so much. I can't wait until she gets here to put some of these things to use & to try all of the cute clothes on her. Thank you to everyone that came for all of the gifts, we appreciate it very much!

4D Pictures

We had our ultrasound today & these are the only pictures I could put on here because the machine only takes VHS tapes & prints the pictures out. I took these pictures with my digital camera so I could put them on the blog. It would be so much easier if they just put everything on CD & DVD. I thought they all turned out so good & I can already tell Katelyn is photogenic. We were both amazed how much we could see of her today & can't wait to finally meet her. We could even see some of our features in her, in the first picture we both think she looks like Brad, but she has my nose.

Finally, Nursery Pictures

We still have a lot to do but here are some pictures of what is finished so far. We are really getting more excited & reality hits me more everyday that we will be bringing home a baby in just a few months. I can't wait!!!



This chandelier is the first gift from my registry that I have received. I think it turned out so pretty!

I sure hope there was no confusion in the ultrasound because I don't know what I would do with all of these girl clothes I already have, especially since no one else seems to be having any girls. I have made myself stop buying clothes because if I don't she won't get to wear them all, plus the baby tea is next weekend & I am sure there are more clothes to come. Thank you again Tammy for all of the clothes you gave us, I know they will get a lot of use!

26 Weeks

Making Progress

We should be able to start putting the furniture together next weekend & hopefully I will have pictures of what will finally look like a nursery.

This is the only picture I could find of before, as you can see it was our junk room, & I am glad to see those deer heads gone!!

Girl's Night

We had a girls night out last night & it was so nice, we ate at Sumo & had the best time. I am so glad we went there too because Japanese seems to be one of the few things I crave, everytime someone asks me where I want to eat the first thing that pops in my head is Japanese. I liked it before I was pregnant but it seems to taste ten times better now. I can't wait to eat it again!!

Lazy Dog!

This is Sadie almost every Sunday, you would think she worked all week the way she lays around. You can't get her to do anyting & it is usually just Sunday that she is like that.

6 down 3 to go!

Here is my 6 months picture, as you can see my belly has really gotten a lot bigger. I still feel pretty good & haven't been sick at all! I have had a problem over the last week or so with my nose being extremely stopped up. I know that is part of being pregnant but I can't seem to get any relief. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do I would love to hear it. I go back to the doctor next week & they will start to measure me so I will update again after that visit. We are slowly making progress on the nursery & I haven't wanted to post any pictures until the furniture is in so maybe sometime next week we will have it put together.

Happy 30th Rowdy

Update

Well yesterday was a crazy day to say the least. It started off pretty good, I had my regular doctor's visit & it was very routine & no where near as exciting as the last. I got to hear the heartbeat again which was 144 & they weighed me I have finally gained some weight about 6 lbs. & hopefully I can keep that slow & steady. But the worst part of the day was on the way home when I got in to a fender bender with two vehicles. A lady hit me from behind because someone hit her. It really scared me because I immediately started worring about the baby. I was sitting still when I got hit with my foot on the brake & she hit me hard enough to move my car forward. Luckily no one was hurt! I called my doctor shortly after the wreck because I started to feel a little tightness in my stomach & my back was sore. I asked what I needed to do, they said to come in so they could check me & make sure I wasn't having any contractions. I think I was just tense from all of the excitement, I had a feeling nothing was wrong but I know I wouldn't have slept that night not knowing for sure. Brad & I got to the hospital & they monitored Katelyn & I for about an hour. Thank God nothing was wrong with either one of us & today everything is back to normal, except my car.

Preggers!!

Last night we went to Southland Electric's 30th Anniversary party. Brad's boss was honored & it was nice talking to all of his coworkers. You can tell it is a great company to work for, they are like one big family & I am glad Brad has been a part of it for the last 12 years.
I finally got a picture of Lynn & I, this is the first picture I have of us since we found out we are going to be mommies. I am so glad we are pregnant together, it's nice to have someone going through the same thing you are that you can talk to. I can't wait to find out what she is having so I will know if Katelyn will have another boyfriend or a little girl to take dance with.

Katelyn's Bedding

We finally decided on a name for the baby, Katelyn Ann, & we will call her Katie for short. We finally decided while we were on vacation this weekend that there weren't any other names we really liked for our daughter. I have said for a long time that if we had a girl I liked the name Katelyn & I think Brad had no choice but to like it.

Here is the bedding for the nursery, I can't wait until it all comes together. Brad is getting started on all of the trim this weekend & hopefully next weekend we will paint. The crib & other furniture was ordered today & should be here in a few weeks which will give us some time to finish the room. We have taken everything out of the room that will be the nursery including the carpet & are starting from scratch, so I still have a lot to pick out. As soon as some progress is made I will post pictures.

Back from the Beach

We had the best time on our beach trip & really didn't want to leave. The weather couldn't have been any better & we had some really good food too. The water was crystal clear & I even got a few pictures of some sting rays. I think we watched a group of 4 or 5 swim by every few minutes for at least an hour. I have never seen that many in the ocean before & I don't think I went back in once I saw them. The sunsets were breathtaking & I think it was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip. I am glad we got to get one last trip together before we become parents. I know our beach trips will never be the same, but I am really looking forward to having our daughter there next year!!

1/2 Way There!

Well I have made it to the half way mark & I can honestly say it has flown by, even though it didn't feel that way for the first 3 months. She has really been moving & kicking alot more & they seem to have gotten stronger in the last few days. We have a couple of names picked out but haven't completely decided yet. We have started on the nursery & I received the bedding this week. We are headed to the beach for one last trip for two (at least for a while) & I will post pictures of the bedding as soon as we get back.

Entertainment for the night...

We had some friends over Sunday night for dinner & I got to play with Madelyn & Brody. I had a great time coloring with Madelyn & watching the puppet show her & Brody tried to put on. They also had a good time playing with Sadie & swinging in the hammock. They were definately the entertainment for the night.

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Today is my sister Rebecca's 17th Birthday. We went to dinner last night with my family & I took this picture of her and her boyfriend Gil. I can't believe how much she has grown up I remember this day 17 years ago & how excited I was to have a little sister. Now she is a senior in high school. I am so proud of her, she is such a wonderful sister & friend.

It's A Girl

We had an ultrasound today & it confirmed what Brad & I thought, we are going to have a little girl. We both had a feeling that it was going to be a girl & I guess the boy streak finally ended with us. At least she will have a lot of cute boyfriends to choose from. We are both so excited to finally know what are baby is going to be & now we can get started on the nursery. I will try to keep everyone updated on the progress. We have also thought of a couple of names but have not decided on one for sure yet & I will let everyone know as soon as we do.
